Were Kafka and Bakhtiar Ali (Kurdish novelist and intellectual) painters, they might paint like Sirvan.
Sirvan’s works are strange combinations of romantic emotions, expressionism, symbolic views, an abstract tendency and a graphic interest for a childish narration, conveying a transparent look inspired by Picasso.

Report

Obviously, he starts form the romantic speech casting a shadow on the wounded mind of a nation whose identity descended to the second level about a hundred years ago as a result of a turn in Great Brittan’s considerations. Maybe, neither he nor other Kurdish artists know that historical event and the sway of its resulted speech on their thoughts but those two realities find Kurdishartists before their birth and whisper into their ears.
We can see these romantic emotions are born with all Kurdishartists. To express the enriched potential of these repressed complexes which settled him in alienated world like Vincent’s,Sirvancreates some personages from his own spirit with characteristics concealed in his own essence. His personages are portraits, from head to toe, and portraits are extended in the whole painting. Hands, feet and all organs express an internal and complicated mystery. Shapes are surrealistically deformed but there is no hint of stream of consciousness. Though the heavy pressure of artist’s thoughts is observable in his works, his emotions do not incline toward a more peaceful world of dreams and has not resulted in a surreal melancholy.
This deformation sometimes turns into a transparent expression. ACubist temptation is at work and observing the rhythm of his brushstrokes, we can predict his entrance into the area of cubism in future. But he is still faithful to Johannes Itten’s advices and the story of contrast and complementary colors and performs the serious project of artistic creation following the stereotypical principles of Chromatics and this makes it difficult to predict his run-up to the two-dimensional extent of pure art, though the abstract aspects of the employed elements in his works present his ability in architecting the canvas and his vivid familiarity with the pure properties of illustration. The composition is almost accurate. His color sensitivity, clean and rich pallet, thoughtful control while applying colors, maintaining the nature of main surfaces while processing visual effects on them, a mathematical emphasize on the essence of lines among the tense density of colors, using energetic elements in the form of dots, surfaces and suitable textures to embellish the work artistically, deformation on the base of the recognition and wise utilization of colors, forms, lines and textures in the parts of the painting where the main subject is not focused,Maintaining the integrity of the canvas in the contradictory space of the contentious elements, Identifying the dialectic of debate and controlling the extroverted variety of visual effects and guiding the music of placing the things through the canvas are all a part of the events which have helped him to find a different ways from others’ in his almost ten-year quest to know his own capacities.
